10k Game Studio: What We've Shipped and What's Coming Next

A solo studio makes a lot of games in a lot of directions, so here's a single place to see where things stand: what you can play today, and what's lined up next.

10k Game Studio builds pixel-art games with story and character at the centre, mostly in Godot 4, with Defold for small web games. Our short-session arcade titles now live under their own label, 10k Arcade.

Playable today

  • Tsurune (弦音): a tactical archery RPG. A teen archer clears 24 monster-infested roads on a grid, with a bow-only skill tree and a nervous goblin merchant.
  • Nokori (残り): a cozy isekai scavenger. Follow hero parties into cleared dungeons and take everything they left behind. Name-your-own-price, v0.1.0, with more planned if it's well received.
  • 色 Iro: a cozy, atmospheric colour-restoration game. A spirit brings warmth back to a greyscale world. No combat, no timers.
  • CastleLast: a medieval tower defence game with five levels and five tower types.
  • BOB: an absurdist zombie-horde comedy. Magnetise the horde and listen to Bob's inner monologue.
  • GemStrike and CrystalMines: a match-3 and a pixel Minesweeper, part of 10k Arcade.

Everything above is free or pay-what-you-want, and plays in your browser.

Coming up next

These are the games furthest along in the queue. No dates yet, but this is the order we're working towards.

  • Retirement Dungeon: a casual click-decision roguelite. Pick a hero, run a few rooms, and bank gold before you retire.
  • Neko Sokoban: CATACLYSM: a cat push-puzzle where furniture slides, a Roomba patrols, and the zoomies are not your fault.
  • Koisuru Maō (恋する魔王): a romcom platformer. A banished tsundere Demon Lord fights her way home, rescuing a hero who keeps wandering into danger.
  • Mayoi no Mori (迷いの森): platforming into turn-based battles, with a rescue-roster loop. Sending someone home is the point.
  • Kikai Hanran (機械反乱): a top-down arcade shooter. Clear each room, draft a skill card, and fight through to the bridge.
  • GORIN: Blade of Five Rings (五輪の刃): a comedic action platformer across five biomes.
  • Grove Drift (森の残響): a simple island-to-island clicker.
  • Ieji: Wayhome Dungeon (家路) and The Long Way Out (帰路): dungeon exploration and escape games.
  • The Quiet Work: a top-down action RPG with psychokinetic combat. This is the one we'd consider taking to Steam if it earns it.

Further out

Beyond the next batch are the bigger projects: management sims, cozy sims, and a few much larger RPGs. At the far end is Hoshi no Isan (星の遺産), a long-term dream project in Unreal Engine 5.

A few games are paused for now. We'd rather say so than leave them looking abandoned.

Follow along

The full catalogue, released and in development, is on 10kgame.studio/games, and every release gets a post here on indiedev.games. If one of the upcoming games sounds like your kind of thing, tell us in the comments. It really does help us decide what to build next.

Thanks for playing,
10k Game Studio
