Your data and privacy
Download a copy of your data, delete your account, and what we count or store about you.

This is a short summary. The full text is in the privacy policy.
Download your data
In account settings, open Privacy and data and choose Download my data. You get a JSON file with your account details, your studios and games (not the uploaded game files), press pages, comments, reports, contact messages, the studios and games you follow, the games you saved, review invitations and your email list status. It does not include your password.
Delete your account
In the same place, Delete my account. It cannot be undone, so download your data first if you want a copy. When you delete your account:
- Your studios, with their logos, banners and games, are deleted. A studio with other people on its team is not deleted: it goes to the person who has been on the team longest, so hand it to someone else first if you prefer.
- Comments you wrote as yourself are deleted with their replies. Comments you wrote as a studio stay on that studio's page, without your account attached.
- Your published press pages are deleted.
- Messages you sent through the contact form are deleted.
- You are removed from our email list and from any team you joined.
- Reports you filed stay, without your name, so moderation history is kept.
What we count
- Page views and plays of games are counted by day, without cookies and without anything that says who looked. A view is a page load, not a person. The game's own team, moderators and robots are left out.
- For game page loads we also keep the name of the website that sent the visitor (for example google.com), never the full address.
- Google Analytics only loads if you accept it in the cookie banner. You can change your choice with Cookie settings in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, it is treated as declining.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without storing personal data.
- We do not add tracking to games, and games cannot send your data anywhere.
What stays private
Your email address is never shown to other people. Your list of saved games is private. Studios never see who follows them or who saved their game.
