About this game
Pixel Battleship is a classic naval duel against the computer, drawn in colourful pixel art.
You and the AI each command a fleet of five ships on a 10x10 sea. Neither of you can see the other's ships. Take turns calling shots; the first admiral to sink every enemy ship wins.
How a game goes
- Place your fleet. Put your carrier, battleship, cruiser, submarine and destroyer on your board by hand, or press RANDOM to deploy them instantly.
- Fire away. Pick a square on the enemy board. A splash means a miss, flames mean a hit, and a sunk ship is revealed.
- Outsmart the AI. Player 2 is a computer opponent that sweeps the sea and, once it scores a hit, hunts around it until the ship goes down.
- Win or lose. Sink the whole enemy fleet first to win. When the game ends you can start a new one straight away.
What makes it different
- Random islands every game. Each board gets its own coastlines, trees, rocks and sea stacks. Ships can't be placed on land and nobody can shoot at it, so every game has a different map and different hiding places.
- Looks like a pixel-art arcade cabinet. Colour-coded fleets (pink for you, yellow for the AI), coordinate labels along the edges, and animated fire and splash effects.
- Music and sound. A sea-shanty style soundtrack, explosions and splashes. Mute any time with the SOUND button or the M key.
Controls
- Mouse or touch: click or tap to place ships, press buttons and fire.
- Rotate a ship while placing: the ROTATE button, or R, Space or right-click.
- Mute: M key or the SOUND button on the title screen.
A single-player game that takes a few minutes. Your progress is not saved between sessions; each game is a fresh battle.
