About this game
A friendly Halloween word search you play with your finger or mouse. A grid of letters, ten hidden words and a three-minute clock. Drag in a straight line across the letters to select a word. Find them all before the timer runs out to win coins and unlock the next category.
How it plays
- Drag to select. Press on a letter and drag in any straight line: across, down or diagonally, forwards or backwards. Let go to check the word.
- Found words turn green. They are crossed off the list at the bottom of the screen. Wrong guesses just clear, so guess as much as you like.
- Beat the clock. Every round gives you 3:00. The faster you finish, the more coins you earn.
- Mix the letters. Stuck? This booster re-deals the grid with only the words you still need to find.
- Extra time. Adds 30 seconds to the clock.
Eight Halloween categories
You start with the first one. Win a category to unlock the next, and replay any unlocked category as often as you like: every round picks ten words at random and hides them in a fresh grid.
- Halloween
- Series & Movies / Villes de France / 日本の都市 (the second category depends on the language)
- Cities & Countries / Fêtes & Traditions / 日本の行事
- Famous People
- Space & Galaxies
- Spooky Creatures (in Japanese: yokai such as kappa and tengu)
- Candy & Treats (in Japanese: wagashi such as dango and taiyaki)
- Potions & Spells
Play in English, French or Japanese
Pick the language in Settings (the game also starts in French or Japanese if your browser is set to one of them). The words change with the language, not just the buttons:
- English: classic Halloween words, movies, cities, space and more.
- Français: words for Halloween and Toussaint, the cities of France, French holidays and traditions, famous French people. French words are written without accents inside the grid, so Orléans is hidden as ORLEANS.
- 日本語: the grid is made of hiragana and katakana. Find the cities of Japan, Japanese festivals, yokai, sweets and more, for example とうきょう, たなばた or ぬりかべ.
Coins, boosters and prizes
- Earn coins for every round you win.
- Daily reward: a six-day streak of growing coin gifts.
- Crystal ball: one free peek into the future every day for a prize of coins or boosters.
- Shop: spend coins on extra Mix and Extra time boosters.
- There is no real money anywhere in the game: no ads, no purchases and no data collection.
Good to know
